Threatened Species of the Hunter Valley
The Great Eastern Ranges Initiative in the Hunter Valley is initially focusing attentions on the Upper Hunter Link.
After undertaking spatial analysis and scientific assessment of the conservation values of the region, the Upper Hunter Link was identified as the best fit target area due to the role it plays within the greater landscape, making it a key link for connectivity objectives locally and nationally. On-the-ground work to date has been focused in this landscape. The Hunter Valley Bird Project aims to measure improvements in connectivity as a result of this work.
